RESTRICTED ITEMS

You may NOT send the following restricted items for delivery:

  • People
  • Illegal items
  • Extreme fragile items
  • Very expensive or rare items
  • Dangerous items (weapons, explosives, flammable, etc.)
  • Stolen goods
  • Any items for which you do not have permission to send
  • Items that can not reasonably fit in the requested mode of transportation
  • Items that exceeds the weight or size that is stated on the order confirmation

In the event that you should consign any RESTRICTED ITEMS with CarPal, you will indemnify CarPal from all claims, damages and expenses arising in connection therewith and CarPal shall have the right to deal with such items as it shall see fit including the right to abandon package of the same immediately upon CarPal having knowledge that such item infringes these conditions, or any acts, rules or regulations prevailing with the local government.

CarPal shall have the right of inspecting the package consigned by you, in your presence, to ensure compliance with this clause.

Should CarPal refuse to accept an item for transportation because it is a RESTRICTED ITEM [you] will be responsible for full fare.

Delivery Guarantee

CarPal contracts independent logistics carrier parties to offer courier services. CarPal has no responsibility or liability for any courier other than stated herein services provided to you by such third parties.

CarPal uses an extensive on-boarding filter for new carrier parties and makes the best effort to maintain a high quality standard of such parties

In case of gross negligence or willful misconduct of the carrier, CarPal will guarantee lost or damaged items up to $250 except for RESTRICTED ITEMS for which no guarantee applies.

CarPal will not be liable for any damaged items in case the recipient has acknowledged on proper delivery (as stated hereafter under ‘Chain of Custody’).

CarPal will not be liable for claimed damage in case the claim does not come with a detailed description and picture of that damage.

EXCEPT FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE DUE TO CARPAL’S GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT (FOR WHICH THE GUARANTEE SET FORTH ABOVE SHALL APPLY), REQUESTOR [YOU] IS FULLY RESPONSIBLE AND LIABLE FOR THE ITEMS SENT FOR DELIVERY BY CARPAL HEREUNDER, THIS INCLUDES PROPER PACKAGING AND PROVIDING HEATHER BAGS OR DRY ICE. OUR LIABILITY TO REQUESTOR [YOU] SHALL IN NO EVENT EXCEED SGD $250.

Chain of Custody

There must be someone at the delivery address to receive your item(s). One of the following must occur in order to complete delivery:

  • CarPal takes a photo of a signed delivery form
  • CarPal takes a photo of item with receiver’s business card
  • CarPal takes a photo of item with receiver’s ID
  • CarPal takes a photo of receiver with delivered item

If you’d like to waive the normal chain of custody process, a text message confirmation is required indicating no recipient is necessary.

Cancellation and Fulfillment Policy

  • If you cancel the order within one hour before pickup, the full fare will be charged

If no one is present (or the item is not ready to be picked up) at your pickup location, the CarPal will wait 10 minutes before leaving, [you] will be responsible for full fare and any additional parking costs. In case you request your CarPal to wait, an additional fee per minute will be charged.

Your CarPal will call the contact person at the delivery location to agree on a delivery time

  • If no one is present at your delivery location, your CarPal will wait 5 minutes before returning your item. Requestor [you] will be responsible for full fare
  • Any delivery requested without recipient present will require text message confirmation from requestor stating no recipient is necessary
  • If no one is present at delivery location and requestor is [you are] also unavailable when item is returned, requestor is accountable. Your CarPal will leave item at original pickup location and requestor [you] will be responsible for full fare.

Your CarPal can re-deliver for requestor [you] on a later time, [you] will be responsible for full fare. Requestors [you] needs to confirm in written

Refund policy

In case no carrier accepts the requested delivery or shows up for collection, CarPal will refund the full delivery fare

In case no, confirmed, carrier shows up for collection, [you] are responsible to always contact CarPal. CarPal will make an effort to send a replacement carrier within a reasonable period of time

CarPal will not refund the delivery fare in case the carrier is late for collection or delivery

Transportation of animals

All terms stated before and after this article also apply to the transportation of any kind of animals.

CarPal acknowledges to have a fleet of separate independent logistics carrier parties that will be solely used for animal transportation. CarPal will make sure that there will be no infringement with any Food and Beverages delivery or whatsoever

Requestor [you] is responsible to including sufficient information about the animal, sizes and any other relevant information or instructions on ordering. Requestor [you] is also responsible to provide a decent animal carrier for transportation.

In case requestor [you] does not comply with this article, the animal will be considered as RESTRICTED ITEM

Update Terms

CarPal reserves the right to modify the terms and conditions of this agreement or its policies relating to the service or software at any time, effective upon posting of an updated version of this agreement on the service or software. You are responsible for regularly reviewing this agreement. Continued use of the service or software after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.

Intellectual property ownership

CarPal alone (and its licensors, where applicable) shall own all right, title and interest, including all related intellectual property rights, in and to the services and any suggestions, ideas, enhancement requests, feedback, recommendations or other information provided by you or any other party relating to the services.

Claims

Claims not made in writing within 24 hours of scheduled delivery shall be deemed waived by CarPal. Within 14 days of you notifying us of your claim, you must send us all information you have to support your claim.

Vouchers

Any voucher (and the promotional code it contains) can only be used once and has no cash value.

The promo code is only valid for orders placed on the CarPal website.
Vouchers are not exchangeable, refundable, redeemable for cash and/or products.
Vouchers are not valid in conjunction with any other offer, voucher, discount, or seasonal promotion.

Vouchers may not be duplicated or sold in any manner, or made available to the general public, unless permitted by CarPal.

If the promotional code is not entered during booking process, CarPal cannot refund a portion of the fee after payment is already confirmed and processed.
